A Very Special Item From Primagine May 16, 2009

Here’s a very special item that’s going to benefit the Relay For Life effort.  It’s a lovely wooden Art Deco style music box. When you touch it, the lid opens and a spinning globe appears with the words “One World, One Hope” and plays a snip of Melissa Etheridge’s anthem “I Run For Life”.

Now, like that’s not special enough, this box isn’t only lovely but it’s functional too!  There are two drawers on the front of the music box that you can store items in. Each drawer will hold roughly 250 objects. Okay, I can hear you now…..if you put your objects in there how will you ever find them again?  Well, this box is scripted so you can search for the item! Touching the base of the box will give you a drop down menu and allow you to choose which drawers contents you’d like to see. Another option you have is to do a search for the item name. You’ll receive a message in chat as to which drawer the item is in, plus the front of that drawer will flash!  You can see a sample of the box in my shop right under its special RFL vendor.

Free Awareness Ribbons April 4, 2009

Unless you’ve been living under the proverbial SL rock for the last couple of weeks you know that the Relay for Life campaign is in full swing.  RFL is a fundraising drive that supports not only the American Cancer Society but efforts worldwide to find a cure and help the victims and families of this horrible disease.

I’m have a small gift that will help you show your support for this cause: two pink awareness ribbons decorated with four diamonds.  One will attach to your spine, one to your chest so you can wear your ribbon without it affecting your other jewelry or attachments.  You can modify and transfer them.  They’re unisex so shouldn’t be a problem for the guys.

The ribbons are available in the Primagine main shop in Kilmarta.  If you would like a different colour than pink, drop me a notecard and let me know  what you’d like – I’ll be happy to make them up for you.  They’re free – all I ask is that you toss a few Lindens in an RLF kiosk when you can.  Every Linden helps.

Oh…..why four diamonds?  Very personal reasons.

Every girl I know has a piece of jewelry she wears almost all the time. Maybe it was a gift from a loved one, maybe it has a charm that reminds you of a precious memory or of a special someone.  You can wear it with almost anything and it’s right.

This is my “everyday” necklace. Gold chains with a heart shaped charm and a diamond sparkling from the center. The set has matching earrings and charm bracelet.  I hope you like it as much as I do.

The silver version of the Everyday set is a special Relay For Life set. The heart charm is set with a pink diamond. It’s available in the RFL vendor in the Primagine main shop. Because all proceeds from this version are going to charity, Primagine store cards can’t be used for the RFL set.

Meet Sandy! March 15, 2009

I give up…..tried to write something witty and it’s just not happening this morning. What I was trying to do was introduce my new jewelry set, Sandy. Beads and rings in warm summer colours or cool pastels – the choice is yours. Plus a pretty flower to add a touch of freshness. A necklace, bracelet and two sets of earrings (dangly hoops or blossoms) make up this set. And why “Sandy”? Um….blame the dj! Seriously, the song “Summer Loving” from Grease was in my head the entire time I was working on this and it’s a kind of sweet, innocent piece….so Sandy was the name of choice! Sandy is available in the Primagine shop in Kilmarta or on xStreet SL.

Victoria – For the Australian Bushfire Relief Fund February 11, 2009

I’m sure by now you’ve all heard of the horrific fires sweeping through Victoria, Australia.  Autumn Hykova and Dakota Buck have started a relief fund to aid the victims of these bushfires and I wanted to do my bit to help.

Victoria is a necklace and earring set done in natural wood and stone textures and accented with a touch of gold. The necklace is resizable by a touch menu. Victoria sells for L$150 with 100% of the proceeds going to the Australian Red Cross and is available now at Primagine’s main shop in Kilmarta.  Because of the donation going directly to the relief fund, Primagine store cards can not be used on this set.

If you’d like to donate without purchasing the set, there are two donation boards on the Primagine parcel you can use. One is directly above the Victoria set ad in the Primagine shop, the other is in the Bottom Line Cabaret which is located on the roof of the shops.

You’re Invited…. December 26, 2008

It’s that time of year when we say “out with the old, in with the new”.  That’s even more appropriate this year as we are holding our final event in The Big Apple sim before turning it over to the new owner, Aztek Aeon.

We would like to celebrate a wonderful year on the Big Apple with our friends before we move on to new ventures. Please join us for a gala holiday ball to be held in Washington Square Park to ring out the old, ring in the new!

You know that feeling you get when every so often you need to shake things up, rattle some cages, try something new?  I’ve been having that feeling lately.  So much has been going both in real life and in online worlds that it seems the right time to make some changes.

I’ve been feeling the urge to try my hand at designing more than jewelry, having the option to create whatever strikes my fancy.   I’ll still be creating jewelry – it’s my first love and I can’t see that I would stop designing that.  But this gives me the option to do more.  So how to begin?  It starts with a name change.  From Trixie’s Treasures to Primagine. That will be taking place this week.

So stick around and see what develops and remember the new name – Primagine!

Mad Mouse October 7, 2008

Despite RL’s best attempt to keep me busy and away from prim torturing, I have a new offering for you.  This set is called “Mad Mouse” and is sort of a response to the “Top Cat” set.  It’s a really cute mousie face done in black with red whisker accents and sparkly silver eyes. You really have to see the way the eyes sparkle in world to get the “mad” impression…..photo’s just don’t do it justice!  Earrings to match are included.

You can get the set at my main shop, on OnRez or SLExchange, or at the Jewelry Expo that’s running now till Saturday, Oct. 11.  Trixie’s Treasures can be found at booth #69 (yeah, I know, snicker all ya want but you’ll remember that number!!!).  My free gift is a set of pearls that I had made for myself and finally decided to share with you all.  Hope you like them!

Dreamers – Silver and Black Set August 22, 2008

Ever have one of those very good friends that you simply can’t say no to? The kind that really never impose on you but mention something in such a nice way that you suddenly have the urge to leap over tall buildings in a single bound to help? That’s my friend Efemera. Efe mentions something and I have the overwhelming need to make it so. Last night she was writing a fashion review for her blog “Efemeral Style” and mentioned she really wanted to wear my Dreamers earrings, just wished they were in a black stone rather than the ivory colour. What’s a friend to do but head straight to the workshop and dig out some ebony to replace the ivory? (Oh no, shades of that horrible song creeping into my head now, but never mind that, back to the story.) The earrings were just what she was looking for, the blog was saved BUT…..she can’t really blog items that aren’t available to the rest of the grid, can she?

That means there’s an additional Dreamers set now available at Trixie’s Treasures. It’s silver with ebony and a chrysanthemum bead, quite nice actually *winks*. My Subscriber group got the earrings as a free gift, but are available in my shop in the Big Apple. The earrings are sold separately from the bracelet and necklace.

I just wanted to remind you that my jewelry is now available on OnRez and SLExchange. Not all the sets are there yet, but I’m working on it.
